Precision-Engineered Aluminium for Industry and Innovation
Qatral, based in Erbil, Iraq, was established with the goal of supplying high-quality raw materials for the aluminium industry. Today, we are aiming to be a pioneer in this sector. Utilising advanced machinery with technology from NFC China and sourcing premium raw materials, our range of products include aluminium ingots, aluminium alloys, and aluminium anode blocks, which are essential for various industries. Our products serve as the foundation for specialised factories, contributing to the production of aluminium profiles, industrial components, aluminium sheets, doors and windows, as well as other construction and industrial applications.
In November 2023, Qatral entered into a joint venture, under the framework of the project, with a well-known Asian technology firms. The initiative aimed to establish a collaborative enterprise focused on control systems and operations related to aluminum smelting in the region.
This joint venture brought together Asian partners—most notably NFC China—and European engineering firms, working collectively to develop one of the region’s pioneering aluminum smelter projects. The collaboration also involved a strategically positioned local partner, contributing significantly to the region’s industrial and technological development.
The agreement laid the foundation for a long-term partnership and knowledge exchange between China, Europe, and the Middle East—supporting innovation, infrastructure advancement, and sustainable growth in the aluminum sector.
